India’s longest flag which is 1115 feet in length was made and used for the movie ‘Appavi’. The film stars veteran director K Bhagiyaraj besides newcomers Gowtham and Suhani in the lead. ‘Appavi’ is about how few anti-social elements try to create havoc in society and how few good souls try to prevent it.

The team of ‘Appavi’ had specially made a1115 feet long national flag for a jingoistic song sequence that features the hero. Sources add that the song is penned by veteran lyricist Vairamuthu. The song was picturised in 5 days with 500 college students participating in it.

‘Appavi’ is produced by V L Dhandapani under the banner of Devi Visions Pvt. Ltd. Raghuraj is also penning the story, screenplay and dialogues apart from directing the film.
